Now I understand why the price was so discounted. I purchased this headset about two months ago. I wouldn't recommend this headset to my worst enemy. The first time I used it, it was very scratchy, both on my end and the person who I was calling. I only paid about $1.50 for it, so I didn't return it, it wasn't worth the hassle. You really do get what you pay for. If I could have rated this zero stars, I would have.
This headset works very well. I have purchased several to give as gifts and keep one in my purse and one at home so that I don't have to have the phone at my ear. It's great for teenagers so they are not distracted holding a phone while driving if they need to ask directions.
The quality on how they are made is very poor to say the least. I just received 2 of these things and I am very disappointed. Don't waste your $$$ on this one. You get what you pay for. It might say 'Plantronics' in the ad but there aren't any marking of the manufacturer. They were in a small zip log bag when I received them. On the other hand, they do work. but for how long.
I have 2 words for this product with my phone (HTC Touch Pro) Static and echo.
The second one didn't work and had a crackling noise in the background. I still use it while driving or doing the dishes. The first time I bought the headset it was the best. I've had the first one for 3 years and it's still going strong with heavy everyday use. Even with the windows down or the faucet running, people could always hear me and I could always hear them. I went to buy a backup for the first one because I read the review where they said it would wear out after a while. I would say that it's definitely worth the $2.00 to try it out because it's the best thing going when it works. :-)
